My argument was they were little, and it provided some music and I needed to shower :) They learned a lot from MMCH - colors, shapes, sequencing. I am a HUGE advocate for toddlers watching MMCH.

At 5 1/2, they've watched plenty of shows. We have had cable at times (currently don't because in the country we don't get cable!). We are the kind of parents that are pretty laid back about TV watching. It's in extreme moderation about the time spent watching TV, but we are very lax about what they watch. We absolutely do NOT allow them to watch sex scenes in movies (obviously), but the rest of the movie? Sure. They actually really like Walking Dead, Simpsons, Batman (drawn and live-action), etc. Even as lax as we are about it, we are not fans of Comedy Central and I do draw the line at SouthPark. The "bad" stuff we get as adults from Simpsons, kids don't get that. I never did as a kid, it's just hilarious now as an adult.

I pick my battles, and TV isn't one of them I guess. I spend my energy rationalizing why they need to floss EVERY day. Equally as fun, I tell you.Brianne Gibsonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7787681399151115706.post-47362525286756216692012-07-10T14:07:02.932-04:002012-07-10T14:07:02.932-04:00Cheryl I love your post. The kids love the Disney channel. Right now a favorite of the boys is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse they also love Good Luck Charlie.Rochelle@AFamilyofLooneyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04605268552555514174noreply@blogger.com
