Way Back When-esday: Two at Three and Five

Darren and Sarah "get" that I blog about them. Sometimes, they get a kick out of the tale told or the scene shared. Other times, when I reach for the camera at a particularly picture-worthy moment a "You'd better not put that on the blog," is sounded (usually by Sarah).

This week, they asked for some input into Way Back When-esday (their favorite feature). When asked how old they should be in the images, Darren wanted age five, Sarah three. As they wish.

Dateline: August 2006
Darren's Age: 5

Dateline: August 2005
Sarah's Age: 3

Scenes of summers gone by warm my heart this Way Back When-esday!

how cute that they wanted to pick a pic today!

I do sometimes wonder what my kiddos will think when they are older and realize I've been documenting their life for the world to see...and whether I'll still be blogging then!

I love that they get involved in your blogging. My girls just love to look at the pictures and I hope that one day that they will get more involved. Love your summery pictures - what refreshing sight on a rainy, dreary day in Alabama!

Cute pictures. Someday they will enjoy the fact that you have a day by day journal of them. Of course that will be a long time from now.
My 28 year old daughter & 30 year old son don't let me blog about them so you usually see my puppy Skye!

I think first time commenting on your blog and first time doing Way Back When-esday; I left my link

your children are so adorable! I like how they understand blog and realizing they are being written about. I keep my public blog real light and fluffy with not much info about my family (kids are adults now) to try to respect their privacy since I'm never sure who could be reading those writings of mine.

cute idea you have with Way Back When-esday; it was fun to go back and look at pictures to come up with an entry :)

enjoy the day :)

So cool that they chose their photo ages. Mine are only 17 months, but I still can't look at older pictures of them without getting all teary. They grow so fast, don't they?

Cute!
My kids just discovered my blog. All week they've been refering to one another as Zip and Tizzy.

I can totally imagine a boy choosing the age of 5, and a girl choosing age 3. So precious! Isn't fun digging through all those old pictures? Thanks for encouraging me to take a trip down memory lane!

I love Darren's beach picture! There is nothing cuter than a little boy in board shorts on the beach. :)

So very cute that they wanted to participate! My kids love being on the blog and ask repeatedly for me to take a picture for the blog. Makes me laugh all the time.
