While listening to What's So Funny 'Bout Peace, Love and Understanding...
Mommy: "You know this man singing is a twin daddy."
Sarah: "Two boys, two girls or a boy and a girl?"
Mommy: "Two boys."
Sarah (with clear disdain): "Humph."
Darren: "I'm going to have four kids, and I'm going to adopt them all."
Mommy: "That sounds really nice, Darren. You'll be a great daddy."
Darren: "I'm going to name them Samantha, Katie, Matthew and Jonathan. So there will be six people in our family."
Sarah: "Whenever anyone asks me to marry them, I'm going to say 'No.'"
Mommy: "What if you love them, Sarah?"
Sarah: "Nope. I'm going to have kids with no husband."
Mommy: "Having kids is fun but a lot of work, Sarah. It's nice if you have someone to help you."
Sarah: "I don't need any help. After we go to bed, all you all do is talk anyway. No big deal. I'm okay alone."
Well okay, then. I'm guessing Sarah's kids' uncle will be a good support system...

What a great conversation! At least they know what they want! Love it!
(visiting from Musings of a Housewife)
Oh buddy, Darren, you are my hero! Adopting is a wonderful choice!!
And Cheryl, nice to meet a 40-something mom!
oh that is just the cutest! - couldn't stop laughing - bet she changes her mind by the time she's 12 & dreaming of her wedding!
This totally had me laughing out loud! It makes me long for the day when Thea will talk...
That is too funny!! I love it!
haha...I can't wait for conversations like these...right now its a lot of babble and screaming...lol
thanks for the rec on the crib tents...I've never seen them...
LOL! That is too funny!
My kids come out with stuff like that too...
"Seriously mom, how hard can it be?"
Kids are great! They certainly keep you on your toes!
How very liberated! I'm guessing she'll change her mind, though. And love Darren's choice of names! Hint...one of his girl's names is in our top two.
LOL! I can't wait for these days! So cute!
Too funny. I can't wait for my kids to actually have conversations with me I understand!
