Sarah: "So what do the 'S's' on our interims stand for again?"
Darren: "Satisfaction."
Mommy: "Actually, they stand for 'satisfactory,' which means okay."
Darren: "What's better than 'satisfactory?"
Mommy: "Well, there are plenty of words that mean better than satisfactory, but satisfactory is the best word they use on interims."
Sarah: "Maybe they should use 'P's' for 'phenomenal.'"
Mommy: "I think you are phenomenal for remembering that phenomenal begins with a P."
[*While I am the very first to declare my children ultra-bright, before you start dialing up Mensa on their behalf (behalves?), know that "phenomenal" has long been a family favorite, and we've addressed that it--and many others---aren't 'F' words, but "PH' words.----CRL]

Super teacher! Love that you throw them ph-oenetic curve balls!
Good for her!
I still think they are brilliant independent thinkers and if I can get my kids to be thinking like yours at that age, I will feel like I did a great job. Ps. I have informed MENSA who will be dropping you an email shortly;-)
I think it's fantastic she remembered that! Just for that, they SHOULD give P's on interims!
I still think they are brilliant, even with your disclaimer. :)
