The Easter Bunny is welcomed in our home.
Envisioning the Easter-eve excursion, all of us are somewhat baffled by how a rabbit road-trips with goodies galore and an ample assortment of baskets....
No matter, we're trusting that this Sunday morning, before we head off to church, we'll discover two fun-filled receptacles awaiting our duo at the breakfast table.
In an effort to lessen the lepus' load, we retain our baskets for re-use. Never exactly "alike," similar to twin toddler apparel, our two sets of baskets from years past have been complementary, coordinated. This year may merit a bigger divergence.
Much to my maternal nostalgic chagrin, My Little Pony is a passion of Sarah's past. She'll undoubtedly want The Bunny to know she's beyond that stage. Darren, however, is more into superheroes now than he ever has been. Hmmm...
In the back corner of the basement, hanging on a nail from a rafter, are the babies' very first baskets. A pale yellow and green pair (in vague attempts to balance the proliferation of pink and baby blue common to the first months of life with boy/girl twins), one of the long-handled baskets may be set alongside Spidey for the bunny's beneficence.
Together---yet individual---and so they grow.

I just dug out our baskets today. Last year I bought the "personalized" ones from PB kids...hoping to stick with them for a while.
I have to say, I love your baby baskets in the corner - you must keep those for grandkids!!!
Found your link on the Multiples and More website and thought I'd follow you. Plus I know I read your book way back when I was expecting! Great read.
This is the first year my kids are old enough for Easter baskets and I am SO UNREASONABLY EXCITED. I'm loving the My Little Pony basket...I kind of want one for myself. ;)
Ahhhh! How sweet are those baskets? I swear I don't know where ours dissappear to every year! I'm determined to lock them up with a padlock this year! I love the yellow and green ones!Too sweet! Happy Easter!
I love that you still have their first Easter baskets. So sweet! :-)
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment!! Means a lot to me : )
Looking forward to reading your blog and getting to know you -- I've seen your way back when-esday posts before, and am trying now to be more of an active blogger : )
Have a great Easter weekend,
Jeremi
I am still trying to find my kids' first Easter basket, and they are only 2 :) I think my husband stuck them in the attic without telling me:( They will appreciate us saving them someday, though!
although we don't do the bunny, we do do baskets and thankfully, my MIL made all of the kids baskets when they were born/adopted, so I haven't had to switch any up.
Sad and sweet that they are growing up, isn't it?
Hope you have a very blessed Easter!
Hi Cheryl! I've been reading for a while (I found you on Multiples & More) and I thought I should say hi!
I need to pull our baskets down, too.
I found all of my kids baskets at Target for 90% off one year so I got them for under a dollar each.....I hope my kids will keep them until they are willing to admit they don't believe anymore and therefore not get a basket. :)
HAPPY EASTER.
