Darren's (and Sarah's) Age: 8
[*Squirrel's age, unknown]
Since his toddlerdom, Darren's had a way with wildlife. Seriously, how many people do you know that can entice a squirrel to walk toward them? This glimpse of animal affection at summer's beginning seems way back now that school will be in session a week from today!
What warms your heart this mid-week?

one more week of summer break? Lucky duck!
My daughter has a connection like that to animals. Animals seem to sense who is safe and who is not!
Aw, how sweet!
That's sweet. Some people really do just seem to have a way with animals.
My Mother-in-Law is like that! I swear the birds and squirrels flock to her when she walks outside. Perhaps it's the peanuts in her pockets :)
LOL! Oh my, totally LOL'd at the unknown squirrel age :P
He's a squirrel whisperer! :)
Okay - animal whisperer....
Ever since a brazen squirrel jumped into our stroller when Bella was a baby, I have had a terrible fear of them. Just seeing that picture makes me nervous!
Love that he loves wildlife! There's so much about nature to learn and explore...he'll have lots of fun.
Wow. That is pretty neat. I don't think I have every been that close to a squirrel.
Awesome for Darren! I always had that ability with animals too. Comes in handy when you have animals of your own running around the house! :)
He and my hubby would have lots to talk about.
When I was in school, a boy in my class got attacked by a squirrel when he was walking to school with his science fair project that had nuts glued to it...craziness!
