Sunday School of Rock

On the way to church, listening to She-Twin's favorite, 96.5 KLR, Classic Rock...

Mommy (who grew up with Skynyrd, but never paid much attention to the lyrics): "Did they just sing 'Hope Neil Young will remember...'?"

She-Twin (exasperated, displaying her oft-voiced Neil Young distaste): "Y-e-e-s-s-s. Of course they did."

Mommy (fully ignorant, genuinely curious...): "Why are they mentioning Neil Young in their song?"

She-Twin (with a professorial air): "MOM, the guys in Lynyrd Skynyrd's feelings were really hurt by the words that Neil Young wrote in his song."

Mommy (clearly unashamed by her lack of classic rock knowledge): "What song did he do that upset them so much?"

She-Twin (done with both the conversation and being forced to think about her rock nemesis, Neil Young): "Southern Man, Mom. Southern Man."

Guess it all makes sense now. Know at least one Southern girl who don't need him around anyhow...
