Technically Speaking

Last Tuesday, I had a procedure our insurance company described as:

"Laparoscopy, surgical. Colectomy, partial, with removal of terminal ileum with ileocolostomy."

Simplified, for inclusion on He-Twin's calendar:

[*To be clear, the "bake sale" was in no way connected to my "butt surgery."]

Teenagers have such an interesting perspective, don't they?! I'm glad the surgery went well - trying to convince my better half of the importance of a colonoscopy.

Indeed!

Kathy, PLEASE do reiterate the import of the colonoscopy to your man.

Had I delayed longer, what was discovered as "pre-cancerous" via a straightforward, recommended by age colonoscopy could have been something far more insidious indeed.

While the prep is far from "pleasurable," it's certainly better than the alternative.

Plus, these stomach staples make for a sexy mid-life belly piercing. ;)
