Twins' Age: 6
Sure, it's a season of horrific allergies and windshields thickly-dusted with pollen, but it's also a season of blooming flowers, baby birds, and butterflies.
Eleven years ago this week, it was a week of wonderment as we watched a moth emerge from the cocoon, and then released it into a hope-filled, sunshiny day.
The analogy with my soon-to-be seniors---cliched, but applicable----isn't lost on me.
Sweet smiles at the miracle of maturation warm my heart this mid-week.
