A Little Piece of My Heart...

...disintegrates when I hear news like the news this morning of Grammy award winning artist Steven Curtis Chapman's five-year-old daughter's tragically incomprehensible and untimely death. The initial horror and disbelief are certainly followed by prayers and thoughts for the family. The only other course of action that makes even a modicum of sense in the face of such sadness is to simply love our children to distraction...today and everyday.

The family is accepting e-condolences and donations for their charitable organization in their daughter Maria's memory. You can visit the Chapmans' site here.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I have added you to my blogroll. :)
I don't know what it is, but I just love the pics showing kids walking from behind. They are so sweet!
And, couldn't get any sweeter with them holding hands! LOVE LOVE LOVE this shot! So cute!

I heard this (or did I read it?) this morning, and I couldn't digest the horror so early in the morning. My heart just aches thinking about the sibling who was driving. You are very considerate to post about this. Thank you.

such a sad thing to hear! :(

i do love the picture of your two today, though. it reminds me of some of the good stuff with my own boy/girl twins. it's pics like that that keep ya going when they're nagging eachother like an old married couple. ;)
