Binge and Purge

Tiny coordinated twin togs are adorable. Webkinz and stuffed creatures of their ilk are charming x 2. But nothing, nothing tempts me with an irresistible pull as do children's books. Times two. Double Daddy has had it, and justifiably so. They both read on their own now, and many, many books in-house are could easily be classified as "below" their level.

Am I the only one that cannot say goodbye to texts they've "outgrown?" Book bulimia is so not my style...

Oooh, I know a kindergarten teacher who would love to buy your purges! And lunch this week is a no-go, but how about next week? Not Wednesday or Thursday, but maybe another day? Perhaps as guests at the pool?

oh you should see my collection of books...between the boxes and piles at school...and the shelves and baskets at home...I have quite a stash - all from picture books up to chapter books from the year in 5th grade. ;-) I'm addicted and so far, so are the twins. :-)

Oh...and how funny to look over on your blog roll today and see 2 "A Tale of Two Twinkies" I thought maybe you had something wrong...but realize there's another one of us out there! ha!

Totally hear you on the book addiction. I taught elementary school (special ed and deaf ed) for 5 years and have over 700 books for kids up to about age 5 and I STILL get tempted every time I see a book by Don and Audrey Wood or a Robert Munsch or a Dr. Suess that I don't already have!! I just think 1 Corinthians 10:13... and escape out the nearest exit!!

Don't look at me! Our house is overflowing and somebody cries piteously whenever I try to purge. Doesn't help that I collect vintage children's books.

I can't give up books. The twins actually have a lot of books that were Jayden's when he was a baby so I've been carting them around for at least 12 years with me.
