Haiku, Do You?

In honor of Laura at Catholic Teacher Musings...and the weekly pleasure I derive from her "Bad Haiku Friday" offerings, I'm sticking my toe in the poetry pond...

Wasabi peanuts
Deceptively pale green orbs

Parents use hot sauce
Others place soap on the tongue

Hee hee! I LOVE LOVE LOVE wasabi peanuts, and they DO look so placidly pistachio...they look like candy (and I eat them as such).

Welllll.....one day the kids were asking and asking to try one. Finally, I relented and even my spicy food-loving boy was SOOOOO disgusted. They both sprinted to the trash to spit it out.

Now the threat of the wasabi peanut is quite effective! ;) I may have to implement it though soon...potty talk is surfacing in twinland as I type!

Ha! I made the mistake of serving wasabi peanuts at a party I was hosting once. My guests were not amused. They're actually sort of addicted though, don't you think?

And a fine muse for poetry!
