An Angel on an Angel

What? Did you expect to see a picture of our kids wrestling?

This was Sarah's artwork begun yesterday while watching Darren at tae kwon do, and finished at home because she knew in her mind's eye what she wanted it to look like. Titled a fairly obvious "Angel," it's mixed media (Sharpie, ballpoint and green Le Pen from my purse; completed with crayons and bingo markers at home) on glossy paper.

Lovely!

And I love the use of Bingo markers. Those things are the best. My family almost got kicked out of a bingo hall some years ago during a reunion, because they were drinking somewhat heavily and having entirely too much fun "trading" bingo markers between each number called. The old ladies didn't find it as funny as we did.

Um is there an art contest at your county fair? I see blue ribbon all over this one.

Thanks for your endless support as we await the arrival of our kiddos. :)

It's gorgeous - a framer, that one! Reminds me I need to put up some pictures of Sam's recent "expressions."

Wow! That is great! I seriously would look into making that into stationery or immortalizing it somehow. Excellent use of mixed media.
