Gone Daddy Gone

[A conversation at the dining room table, Daddy is in LA again this week...]

Darren: "Why are you wearing Daddy's watch?"

Mommy: "I'm not sure where mine is..."

Darren: "I think it's because you miss Daddy when he's gone, and it reminds you of him when you look at it."
Apparently, my intuitive son knows me better than I know myself...

In addition to our much-loved Daddy, something else is missing today...

Here's hoping the Tooth Fairy knows not only how to find Darren's loft bed, but how to extract the under-pillow treasure and leave some coins without waking the sleeper!

Let us know how you pull it off. It's tricky thing.

Hopefully Darren is a sound sleeper like our oldest. She never moves a muscle when the tooth fairy retrieves a tooth. Good luck!

That is an insightful thing for a seven year old to say.

Good luck not being discovered tonight, tooth fairy!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment today. I have to second thegirlof510's comment. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Congrats to Darren for the lost tooth & good luck to the tooth fairy! We have a special little dish that we leave the tooth in for the tooth fairy and she leaves her treasures in there as well! Works great here!

Newsflash from the Tooth Fairy:

She had NO problems when the kids were in their toddler beds. When I broached the question with Darren about if he thought the tooth fairy would have easy access or might she wake him up, he suggested leaving the tooth box on the dresser by the window...so it would be easy for her to see as soon as she flew in. (What a considerate boy! ;) )

Like your system, Terri! And thanks for the good wishes, all!

What a darling kid to understand such things :)

Glad the Tooth Fairy was able to do her transaction with no hitches.

Wow, what a smart little cookie he is.

So tell me does the tooth fairy at your house have to leave different amounts depending on which tooth came out?
