Finding a way to combine her passion for art and rock, Sarah came up with a new "Rokc Game." Can you figure out who the well-known icons are?
Seriously, I got the first two (knowing her musical muses), the third, I was convinced was Double Daddy (who is the bass player for Sad Biscuit Jones), but nope.
If anyone -- or the first one who -- guesses all three, I'll send you a copy of Twinspiration!

well. the second one kind of looks like Elton John...but I'm guessing that's before her time ;)
The second one looks like Amy Winehouse to me. No clue on the other two.
The second one has to be a member of the Flock of Seagulls....
You all are FUN! Hint #1: ALL of these three are before her time, and two are deceased. ;)
Keep it comin'!
Joan Baez
Elvis Costello
Bruce Springsteen.
Honestly, I have no idea, but I wanna play right?
I mean....I seem to be having good luck in your contests...:0
No Clue....maybe one is Hannah Montana? I guess I am thinking of a few girls I know her age that are totally into her.
1. Bette Midler
2. Janas Joplin
3. John Lennon
Ok, just throwing any old names out. hahahaha
I am absolutely at a lost! LOL What a talent though. Can't wait to see who it is!
Elvis?
Be sure to post who they are.
you've stumped me...i have absolutely no idea! cute picture though!
1. Madonna
2. Elvis Presley
3. John Lennon or Elton John
So I am clueless about who inspires her musically!
Maybe-
1. Cher
2. Elvis
3. John Lennon
AND- I am dying to know what it is she's drawing on! Whatever it is, I need to add that to our double birthday list!
You all are awesome! Okay, I will confirm Sara, Missy and Gibson Twins have #2 correct...it's Elvis. (You were right on the first name, Laura! ;) )
Here's a hint for #1
Number 1 is a MALE, and still living. His hair is very different now, but he's still quite handsome for his generation...
omg cheryl, I have no idea either, but sarah looks so cute. I already have a copy too, so it wouldn't be fair to win :)
Bon Jovi??
LOL
Checking back and realizing I missed "before her time", lol! Guess we aren't talking Hannah Montana.
Bon Jovi is a good guess for #1.
Tom Jones
2 was easy.....Elvis...
Hmmmm another deceased rocker....
I have no idea. Richie Valenz?
Bon Jovi and Tom Jones are BOTH good guesses for #1...
There was an embedded hint in the previous hint that might reveal WHO he is.... ;)
(P.S. Sarah used to have his picture with long hair and fringed jacket hanging over her toddler bed.)
Lemme ponder some good hints for #3...
WooHoo! I got #2 right - YAY!
I have to think about the other two.
HMMM, tell Sarah she has a great game going on!
Seriously?? She knows WHO Roger Daltrey is??
Is #3 Barry White? hehehe
Nancy, YES! You got #1! (and does she EVER know who Roger Daltrey is...but STRONGLY prefers the old school Roger with the swingy hair and jacket fringe...) By the way, she was THRILLED at the thought of having people who read the blog try to guess her portrait subjects, so thanks you all for participating! (Sadly, # 3 is not Barry White. Hee hee!)
Okay, that revealed....here's the first and final hint for #3...
First person to put all 3 into a comment, the book will go your way (if the excitment of sleuthing isn't reward enough...)
#3 is deceased. We could rhapsodize on his unmatched voice forever. Sarah believes him to be "the very best singer" and when she heard "Rocket Man" assumed it was #3. When I clarified that it was Elton John (an earlier guess!), she declared "He's just trying to sound like #3." Interestingly enough, #3 like Elton... was a Brit. Truly his voice was out of this world...even though his last name is in our solar system. No time for losers...who'll be the champion?
1 - roger daltery
2 - elvis presley
3 - freddie mercury
I am right???
Freddie Mercury!
so... Roger Daltrey, Elvis, and Freddie!
ah, dang. Missy beat me :) Ah well - it was fun guessing!
Oops, I realized I misspelled Daltrey (I was in a hurry)- Sarah music knowledge AMAZES me!!!
Holy cow! Y'all (Missy and Nancy)posted the very same minute, and YES! It's Freddie Mercury.
Interest of fairness (and a lack of Michael Phelpsian time-keeping ;) ), I'd be happy to send you both a copy. :)
Email me a mailing address (cheryl [at] twinsights.com) and if you want me to sign it (or have Sarah draw Freddie Mercury in it! ;) )
we'll accommodate!
Thanks so much everybody for playing! (I can see why Wink Martindale and his ilk always seem so happy. Games are fun!)
And the music immersion is ALL their dad. :) They're a pretty blessed twosome. (as am I)
I would LOVE a pic in my book - sending you a e-mail now. Please, please tell Sarah - this is a MUST from now on - Rokc Game is the BEST!!!!
oh wow! Tied! woo hoo. I feel so privileged :) And can I be greedy and ask for a John Hancock AND a Picasso? *grin* I'll email you shortly.
THANK YOU!!
...and I love these types of games...I get soooo addicted. *sigh*
What fun! Sorry I missed out! though, I was totally thinking hannah montana and Jonas Brothers.. wouldn't have ever guessed Roger Daltry! That is even before my time! LOL Tell Sarah that was so much fun!
More! More! More! I missed all the fun - do it again, Mom. do it again!
Sarah - you're such an awesome drawer AND game creator! And quite the diverse little musical diva!
Diana Ross
Ringo Starr
Madonna
Well I must say that she has WONDERFUL taste in music. Great guessing game too. You have such a creative young lady on your hands, Cheryl. :)
okay seriously, I had no idea LOL. She is such a creative girl.
No idea, but I'm way looking forward to the answer. :)
Cheryl, we had our twins last week. More info at my blog, including photos! I think I've opened your book (esp the bfing sections) at least a dozen times since bringing them home.
