Anyone else remembering The Perils of Penelope Pitstop? The Boomerang Channel has clearly brought Sarah and Darren into the cartoon conversant population; and as such, they mugged for the camera alongside a parked caboose where a good friend's birthday was celebrated yesterday. Suppose I should make sure they know reclining on the railroad tracks isn't wise...Today, I'm thankful...
When I asked Darren to go upstairs and "dress warmly" for school today, shortly thereafter, he came downstairs wearing a long-sleeved shirt (tucked in!), khaki pants and matching socks.
Sarah asked me to read aloud the amazing story of Madame C.J. Walker before school this morning -- another highly driven female whose given name also happened to be Sarah.

*giggles* I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thought of Penelope when I saw that picture! (Hope that doesn't date me too much. lol) Very cute! Glad Darren is dressing warm when you ask him to, too. :)

So fun! Totally makes me think of the cartoon that had the Canadian Mountie and the evil guy with the curly mustache...I think it was Dudley DoRight!

Great photo! And I love what you're thankful for... although I wish Hannah would walk out of her room dressed so nicely when it was time for school! Tucking in her shirt... unheard of! LOL
