Finished for Friday: Aural Affliction

Farewell, fluid in the ears......as well as the old-school "spoonful of sugar" to make the medicine go down. With full appreciation for Mary Poppins' method, as a post-modernist mama, I pushed it a bit further.

A mouthful of whipped cream accesses all the nooks and crannies where the "bad" taste can lurk after the torturous swallow. [Plus the squirt process makes what could be an ordeal a lot more fun.]

Now go on over to ThreeUnderTwo's Lit and Laundry and see what else has been Finished for Friday!

Is there anything better than draining the last drop of that stuff? An excellent "Finish for Friday." I hope he feels better!

Loving the Redi-Whip idea! I've had variations on that theme, but I think your cocktail is the one I've been searching for! Thanks!

Blessings!

That is THE BEST! There's nothing better to derail bad medicine than not only the taste of whipped cream but also the quirky explosiveness of the experience. It's just so silly, it's PERFECT!

Great idea! I may have to try that with Delaney. She is horrible at taking medicine!

What an awesome mom you are!! I remember hating liquid medicine as a kid, I'd always have the med in one hand and a drink ready to go in the other hand :)

Mine love very berry strawberry Tylenol. Not sure if that's a good thing or not!

Oh I actually remember gagging up Robitussin....NOT good! Actually Nancy, I don't like whipped cream either..but Darren sure does! In a not post keep it in the comments reveal,Sarah loves her meds so much that Double Daddy calls her "Liza" (as in Liza Minelli)when she's on a prescription. She even refers to them as "meds." Pray for me, won't you? ;)

I would swallow Vicks Vapor Rub if I knew I'd get a squirt of Reddi Whip after.
Why not Cool Whip Cheryl?
Huh?

What a good idea! I will have to try that with Andrew.

I don't blame you for gagging up Robitussin. That is the nastiest stuff. I practically gag it up now as an adult. Yucky!

Glad Darren is doing better. It's hard when they are sick.

Happy Friday!!

great idea!! Yum! Thankfully, our two still 'like' medicine. Sarah just had a round of Amox - the yummy pink bubble gum stuff - and Jacob got mad each time he didn't get "medcine!" too! But soon enough, medicine will not be as enjoyable, I'm sure!
