Career Counseling

Courtesy of two seven-year-olds...

Sarah (to Mom, shortly after learning of Circuit City's demise): "You know, when Barack Obama is done, maybe Daddy should run for President."

Darren and Sarah (Friday night, with enthusiastic conviction): "Daddy, you could be a lifeguard at Great Wolf Lodge!"

Sarah (Saturday morning): "You should just play your guitar and leave the guitar case open for people to put money in."

So many possibilities to ponder!

On a serious note: to all who've added comments, sent emails and made phone calls of love and support: thank you.

Our lemons are few, the sugar abundant.

ROFL love the way kids see it ;)
D'ya think Barack Obama will be done sooner rather than later for you? Maybe if you ask real nice :D
Whatever the future holds, i hope it brings you all the security you need and wish for yourselves. Hoping the job front comes good for you soon.
Hugs.

How sweet are the insides of children's minds? It really puts things into perspective.

This is a craptastic situation to say the least, but you will get through it. Please know that you are all in our prayers.

Just creative kids! I love that they are so thoughtful & helpful - signs of very good parenting!!!

Seriously, if I had a talent - I have always dreamed of an open guitar and singing for others. But not a talent here so I will be a mommy instead.

I know you he will find a job soon - continuing to keep you in our prayers!

Kids do such a good job of teaching us how to
a) keep a stiff upper lip
b) think outside the box
