Makes My Monday: At Last

An Etta James classic. A romantic inaugural first (and second, and third...) dance. The perfect soundtrack for the new Hoover spots. My feelings on our first snow of the season...

More Monday making? Sarah and Darren don't know it yet, but they'll wake up to a day with no school. Looks like my Rosebud-style sled from days gone by might just get put to purpose.

So what is Making Your Monday? Tell us what is brightening your week's beginning and add your post to the Mr. Linky below!

How fun!

Our boys were so excited . . . 90% chance of snow in our area.

And it did snow in our area, but not in our immediate area.

They were bummed.

First! Hahahahahahaha!

We didn't quite get the 14 inches they were predicting, but there's plenty out there and M is working from home. Woo!

I love those pics - that's when snow looks so pretty. Doesn't last long though on these city streets!

Enjoy your snow day with the twins!

Snow, it's very pretty. We live lin the foothills, so no snow for us. But, 15 minutes away it's a snow wonderland. I'm not into cold weather, so I'm just fine.

wow...hard to believe We're not the ones talking about snow today! We're all dry here, but its COLD! At least the sun is out.

I am sure they are loving playing in it and enjoying their day off!

I hope you enjoyed your snow day :)

...I'm with Goddess though...HAHAHAHA - First?! Oh man. We've just been HAMMERED this year. Luckily, my wonderful husband thinks shoveling is "man's work" - and doesn't "allow" me to do it. (or empty the garbage or the cat box - I'm so okay with all of those! LOL)

ha HA, i used to love snow-days when i was a kid :)

we don't get them here in TX! BUT we DID have an "Extreme Cold" day a few weeks back. I just laughed-- these Texans don't know the meaning of cold! lol

Great pictures!

We had our first snow last night also. Jordan and I stayed home with Suzi and built a snowman. She was so impressed (even though he was only like a foot tall) and sang Frosty the Snowman. He unfortunately met his demise in the afternoon sun :-( We will have to move the rest of him before she goes out tomorrow morning. But I thought you were further north and would've had snow by now!

Hey Kenzie and Sarah have the same jacket! Well, had. Kenze's ripped down the side. All the stitches came out. Ours got out of school. First snow day ever for them, although I don't know if it counts for Kenz since she was going to be out anyways!

Ahhh . . . the glory of a snow day, especially when it turns a weekend into a THREE DAY WEEKEND! Woo-hoo!

Also, we found out that the baby loves snow! The big kids pulled him around in a baby bobsled for a long time while I shoveled. We all had a blast.

Well, except for all the shoveling ;)
