Makes My Monday: Laundry List

When we had no employed adults in house--not that very long ago--Scott made a promise to the kids: When he got a job, we'd go to shangri-la, a.k.a. Great Wolf Lodge. So...

What Makes My Monday?

1.) Jobs

2.) The successful cross-pool passage via teetering lilypads that so eluded Darren despite exhaustive--and exhausting--attempts last visit, was achieved repeatedly this visit.

3.) Laughter peppered, permeated, punctuated the weekend.

4.) Throwing all previous back issues to the wind, Scott and I rode all the waterslides and are experiencing nary a twinge.

5.) Darren read aloud to us the whole way down...

6.) and Sarah listened.

What a great motivator to find a job- kids being told they can go to the greatest place ever?? I can't wait til mine are ready to go back (we took them at 18m which proved to be a little too young for most things).

What do you think about an interview with Double Daddy on some of his thoughts being a stay at home dad (if he is currently fulfilling that role)? I think it would be a great read!

I'm sure something MMM, so when I think of it, I will come back and link in!

What makes my monday? I just woke up to at least 6 inches of snow, it is still snowing - I can't see the mountain behind behind the house - I have NO PLACE To go and it is absolutely Beautiful Up Here...oh and I am the only one awake!!! that makes my Monday

Oh that sounds like such a great weekend. I am so happy that the work issues are sorted out - especially in the tough times we are living in.

Wow, sounds like you all had a great time!! What a fun way to celebrate!

I wish my kids sat that still in the car when we go for drives.

This is the best idea I've heard in...I don't know how long. I want to go too! I'm going to go and look it up right NOW. And good for you guys for being spontaneous (and congrats on the job).

Cheryl - We had the "Wolf Den". Last year when we went, my daughter was in Kindergarten and thought she could read. She laid in her bunk and asked, "what does D-E-N-F-L-O-W spell?"...we thought for a moment and were pretty sure Nedflow wasn't a word. It wasn't until the next morning we realized she was reading "Wolf Den" in the mirror!

So how sore were your legs and bottom when you left? I've been training for a 1/2 marathon in May and you'd a thought I'd not worked out in YEARS! All those stairs did my butt in!
