Friday's Happenings---In Haiku

Hipsters, French-cut briefs?
Bikinis or Granny pants?
I want funderwear!
After-school you hear,
Strategically parked out back,
Sneaky ice-cream man!

Forget the candy.
Temptation I can't resist?
Pastel doughnut holes

Laura of Catholic Teacher Musings's Lenten abstinence from all things haiku has concluded and she's back with a festive Friday vengeance. Hallelujah, indeed! From Crocs to Susan Boyle, hubcaps to hairy arms, her poems today are a tour de force. Happy Bad Haiku Friday!

You two Haiku queens
Make writing them sound easy
But it really is not

Haiku geniuses
I'm sad to say I am not
But today I tried

Ok, it is official. I am the meanest mom in the world. We do not buy from the ice cream man. I don't what is like in your neck of the woods but ours has nothing for less than $5.00 ( I am NOT kidding) and it is so over frozen it renders itself un-eatable. I do however keep a stash of goodies in the freezer and if the bell is heard we often hit the stash.
