Makes My Monday: Up in the Air, Junior Birdmen

Sure, our 21st century technology affords modern playthings galore. Yet, sometimes, the tried and true toys are the most satisfying. Case in point, the paper airplane.

With a bit of folding assistance from Grandpa, this weekend's adventures were punctuated with plentiful "Plane Battles." TV, schmee-vee. Smiles and laughter achieved with mere pieces of pretty paper, carefully creased and propelled, Make My Monday. (Special thanks not only to Grandpa Lage, but to the incredibly generous Terra of Tales From the Nightstand for the terrific tablet made with artful aviation in mind.)

What makes you happy this Monday? Do tell--and share in the web-wide week's beginning brightening. Don't forget to leave comments on other participants' posts...comments are Monday Makers!

Wooo, such fun! And they come in such rad colors! The groovy color scheme is bound to improve flight performance I'm sure ;)

Looks like lots of fun! We didn't make airplanes this weekend, but drove past a military museum that had an old fighter jet out front that fascinated Jacob. :-)

I'm playing along, too!

So glad they were fun! Loved the pictures and I bet Grandpa was a good folder - Gramps are great at that sort of thing! We love "geting back to basics" around here now and then...

I find that kids really have more fun with the simple things in life and the more they do that, the less they sit in front of a TV or video game.

Awesome!

And btw ~ My first grader changed SO much this year in looks. My little boy became a kid. Sniff sniff... Did you notice this with yours, too?
