Fast Food Friday

Keeping with my sharing of sub-admirable parenting practices, last summer, every Friday was celebrated as Fast Food Friday. We'd turn a blind eye to trans fats, and simply enjoy the family fellowship and tasty goodness of the mid-day meal, guilt-free.

Now that I am working out of the home, our weekly grease-laden lunches are largely a thing of the past. Yet we still occasionally manage to drop by a drive-thru...and we try to make healthier choices. [Think I feel a Friday Frosty coming on....]

McDonalds french fries for everyone...at 10 a.m. (when the boys were young and i had a million and a half errands to run).

Everyone needs a treat once in awhile! Sounds good to me!

The boys had a frosty the other day for lunch, I added some fries to it also. I knew they wouldn't eat anything else so that's what they had!! Your kids look plesently pleases with their fast food - always a treat!

Our "sinfulness" usually means a lazy day spent in pajamas watching as much TV as we want, eating "snacky" food and not following our normally strict schedule.

I actually do not like Mac Donalds at all, but I feel the urge for fries coming on.

My girls LOVE milkshakes and they think that they "deserve" a milkshake everytime we stop and buy any fast food. (I can't say I blame them!)
And their favorite restaurant is Waffle House!

Cheryl...we are on the same page. We do junk food fridays and it is usually a pizza order in the evening. I just love fridays too. I try to do my weight watchers weigh in on Thursday and save my cheat for Friday. good minds think alike

oooh - I drove by a Wendy's on Wednesday and fought the urge to get a Frosty....now I WANT ONE! LOL

We used to hit BK on the way to Costco every Saturday...I think the kids now associate the two. heh

I confess that in the Trenches, a perfectly acceptable dinner some days is a bowl of sugared cereal.

Oh dear...too many "snack sins" to confess here...Dunkin Donuts days, and every Bank of America on the road is now a potential "pop stop"...we love us some "tweats"!!

I try to give the kids a veggie and a fruit with lunch and dinner. At lunchtime, I'm always struggling to find veggies that they will eat. I've been known to fall back on the fan-favorite sweet gherkins. I think we're working on three days straight of pickle lunches!

we used to do "the french fry house" stop every Thursday night (that was the night that hubby had classes)...Kota could spot the golden arches before even I could. And he would be bouncing in his carseat saying "I see the french fry house, momma!! There it is...turn right, momma!! you are going to miss it!!" I enjoyed it as well, less mess, and no cooking involved.

I love that you have booster seats in pink and boy! lol

I wish we could say we only do this about once a week.

My little ones, think "Wendy Girl"...as they call her, probably a aunt or cousin.

If there is a lady at the drive through around the age of 18-40, they wave at them and say "Hi, Wendy Girl".

I'm laughing at my friend Brooke's comment just above this. hahaha!!

Hmm....well, last weekend, while Daddy was away at a baseball game, Mommy was craving some soft serve ice cream and said something on facebook about it. A friend quickly reminded me that Dairy Queen has a drive through. I promptly packed the kids up and told them it was "b/c they were being so good" and away we went for a Blizzard and Artic Freezes - about 10 minutes before bed time!

We've been really good about eating at home lately and not too much dining out - but honestly? I just want to go out to dinner one night - just to get out of the house with the kids WITH help! LOL!

Pancakes and waffles.... for dinner! I'm a horrible cook so when I say "pancakes and waffles" I mean the frozen kind!

[I waive my contest entry, just wanted to purge :) ]

Friday Frosty could be a funny regular post.
Like....Flat Stanley.
Where are you with your Friday Frosty?
Where are you going?
What are you thinking?
And, the best part would be that you would get to have a Frosty.
Amen.
