Sarah: "I'm going to change my name.'
Mommy: "Well, Honey, when you are 21, if you still want to, you can. Until then, you are legally Sarah. You could start going by Sarah Jane if you want."
Sarah: "No, that's already my name. I think I should be Katherine."
Mommy: "That's a lovely name. Of course I think Sarah is a lovely name, too."
Sarah: "Is Flo a real name?"
Mommy: "It is. It's usually short for Florence...or there used to be a show when I was a little girl and the mom was named Florida. Suppose Flo could be short for that, too."
Sarah: "I just like it as Flo---like the lady's name on TV."

I wanted to change my name too when I was a kid. I wanted to be called Beatrice. And then someone said, " You mean you want your name to be Beat Rice?" That left me rather dumbfounded.
I love the name Sarah, but I guess you do also, hopefully this phase will pass. I always wanted to change my name when I was little to Sierra Mercedes! What a name!
That is so cute. I love how their minds work.
Oh I love Katherine as well! (I am named IRL in the Afrikaans or Dutch version of it), but Katherine just sounds so glamorous.
I totally love Flo from tv. (and the one from Mel's Diner - either one)
But please tell Sarah - that Sarah is a beautiful name and it fits her perfectly!
HAH! Ya, I hear "Kiss my grits" whenever I see the name Flo ;)
I used to want to be Elizabeth. Who knows why. LOL
haha. your kids are way too cute and funny!
What is it about commercials that so captures children's attention??
I say NO to Flo the car insurance lady! And I kind of like Sara best of all...she is such a doll!
Sarah Jane? Really? That was who my Sarah was named after. My mom was pg with a baby between my sister and I but miscarried. They named her Sarah Jane and that is why I chose Sarah for my lil girl!
Oh how I wanted to be penelope or millicent when I was little. I understand her.
Flo makes me think of Mel's diner. Sarah is a Beautiful name.
How funny!
When I was in second grade, i went through an "identity crisis" and every day i came home with papers reading "Debbie", "Debi", "Deborah", "Debbie Ann", etc... LOL Until I finally changed my spelling to "Debi". heehee (my mom says it drove her nuts. LOL)
Haha, she is so funny. I think that every kid in this world want to change their name (when I was a kid (just 2 or 3 years ago) I want to change my name and definitely, still want to, but no budget for that)
Have a nice weekend.
Flo, lol! Cracking up!
