Way Back When-esday: What Do You See?

Dateline: August 2002
Twins' Age: 11 Months
(Darren requested the age for this week's edition: zero.)

Nearly eight years later, Scott and I both can likely recite Eric Carle's Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? from memory. Sarah's story happy hand and Darren's cross-legged listening make me want to read it to them over breakfast tomorrow. Now where did I put those high chairs?

Play along with Way Back When-esday!

Dive into those digital photos or scan a scrapbook find. Tell the tale and place a post on your blog. Be sure and link back to participate in the web-wide reverie...and leave a comment when you do!

I love this picture! Brown Bear is one of our favorites too! I sometimes play with our kiddos (10 mos.)using the rhythm to ask them what they see...I don't understand their answers, but they definitely think it's a fun game!

Have you seen the Blind Side? In it Sandra Bullock reads children's stories like Ferdinand the Bull to her older kids and her newly adopted inner city kid as they listen raptly. It made my cry and want to pull out the old classics again. And now your post makes me want to do the same!

Hey Cheryl. Thanks for your comment, the horse and my boy. Yes, happy pals. Okay, so I totally meant to come back to my blog today and get my Way-back Whensday on. Where is my mind? I tried to find you on Facebook, and got caught up in Retro days there. I posted a couple of Wedding pics, from WAY BACK. Needless to say I didn't make the post today. Next Wednesday.

How do I find you on Facebook.

Thanks, Stacie...

On Facebook I am under Stacie Adamson.

Hugs.

Holy flashback! I vividly remember pushing a double jog stroller w/ a baby strapped to my front in the Baby Bjorn and huffing and puffing as I recited Brown Bear from memory in order to keep my 2 in the stroller QUIET as we walked the neighborhood.

We are huge Eric Carle fans here, too! (Our Twinkies' room is done in The Very Hungry Caterpillar). Sarah has been able to 'read' Brown Bear to us for a while now :-)
