Makes My Monday: Swedish Meatballs

A weekend getaway to D.C. facilitated a trek home trip to family favorite, Ikea. One of our Spoka (there is an umlaut over the "o," my keyboard is simply incapable) nightlights gave up its glow (glow-st?), and a new acquisition was in order.

No visit to Little Sweden is complete without a man-sized portion of meatballs and a lady-sized glass of ligonberry drink.
Horsing around on weekend errands Makes My Monday.

Our closest IKEA is about 2 hours away so we haven't visited (not that we really need anything right now anyways so no good excuse to visit).

I love Swedish meatballs...are they good there? I've heard IKEA has great cinnamon rolls, too.

Cheryl -- The kids are sooo cute! Swedish meatballs -- hmmmm hadn't thought of those in a while! That'll be something fun to veganize! Turns out I love vegan sausage (that was a shocker) so maybe I can love "neatballs" after Thanksgiving I'll start inventing! Stay tuned to A Midlife Vegan. Thanks for the idea -- that makes my Monday.

So you can all brag that your nearest Ikea is 2 hours away - we have NO IKEA! in South Africa. Seriously, that is one international brand I wish would make it's way here. As Wallmart is looking for a road in, I guess it may not be too far off.

Not for people like me who can't put stuff togehter.

Ikea is coming to Colorado - sometime. But the meatballs really? Are they really as good as people claim? Eating lunch (or dinner) at Ikea has never made sense to me

Now I'm craving meatballs! The kids are so cute. What could be more fun than eating really?

I love Ikea! It's always full of ideas. Often I visit and then go on craigslist to find what I'm after. Saves a few bucks here and there. I never seem to be able to come out of Ikea empty handed though. Too much good stuff!
