While driving on Christmas errands...
Mommy: "So do you think Santa will fill Larry Dog's stocking?"
Sarah (incredulous there was even a question): "YES! Larry's a kid, not a grown-up. Actually Mom, Miss C [Sarah's riding teacher in her early 20's] says Santa still brings her presents..."
Mommy: "You know I saw Mr. Steve [our next-door neighbor] today, and he said Santa still brings toys and gifts to his son who's 28. Maybe Santa stops coming once you're married and become a mommy or a daddy."
Darren (conclusively): "And that's just one of the reasons I am not ever going to get married. I'm just going to have a really good girlfriend like Mr. ____ and Miss _______. They're happy together and Santa can still come to them."
Sarah (working all the angles): "I bet he just stops coming once you have kids. So if I do decide to get married, I'm going to get some shots or something so I don't have any."

Please pass along to sweet Sarah that I, too, said I would never have kids either : )
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!!!
I said it too!!! Things don't always turn out the way you say they will when you're a tween!!! I know she's not a tween yet, but she sure talks like one sometimes!
I love all of Darren's reasons for NOT getting married! Why does he think you guys did it?
Oh, and Merry Christmas, yadda, yadda, yadda!
Santa came to see me! Santa Maria that is (my mom)...made my holiday.
