Way Back When-esday: To Dye For

Dateline: March 2005
Twins' Age: 3

Maternal inexperience + first egg coloring (on Easter Eve 2005) = Two sets of bluish hands to accessorize the twins' Sunday best.

Sarah's confusion---bordering on disgust---with her PAAS-transformed fingers combined with Darren's unbreakable focus on his egg dipping process warm my heart this mid-week.

Play along with Way Back When-esday!

OMG Cheryl, I am so glad you posted this! Molly and Luke just turned 3, so this is the first year I am letting them participate in egg coloring! I am so looking forward to it! I love their colored hands! How fun is that!?!?

I immediately noticed Sarah's expression and it made me giggle. She sure did look disgusted. LOL

Too funny! Our first egg dying experience was the opposite. I think I had them in 5 layers of protective gear!

My Jill is like your Darren, very focused on the project at hand, and Aaron is like Sarah, he hated coloring eggs last year.

This will be Adam's first year doing eggs and I'm certain his expression will match your Sarah's there! He does not like having dirty hands! ha!

Adorable picture. I am hoping to color eggs this year, but am thinking it may be more of a mess than anything, but I think it will be a good memory either way! My older one is 3 and my twins are 2.

Oh SO cute! Since I have gone to college... I really miss coloring eggs. It should be mandatory every year no matter what! :]

Love the looks on their faces!! I love dyeing eggs at Easter with the kids! In the last few years, we've gotten pretty creative! One of the things they love to do is wrap several rubber bands around the egg and dip it in each color...makes a really cool design!
