Way Back When-esday: Looking Back, Literally

Dateline: Spring 2002
Twins' Age: About 6 months

Now nine and a half, and kvetching about their maternally mandated use of booster seats for safety, this image brings back happy memories of our twin travels....from their road baby beginnings.

For anyone who's read Twinspiration---now on Kindle, and coming soon to Nook!---this is the very Mercury Sable of infamy...the one in which (to my horror) I locked them both on Thanksgiving Eve 2002. (No babies were harmed in the incident; only their mother's sense of competence!)

Seeing two rear-facing faces, ready for the day's adventure, warms my heart this mid-week.

Why don't you look back, too? Play along with Way Back When-esday!

Dive into your digital photos or scan a scrapbook find...share an image you might not otherwise. Tell the tale and place a post on your blog. Be sure and link back to participate in the web-wide reverie...and please leave a comment when you do!

Hi Cheryl!! I am having the same issue. I can leave comments on all blogs that the comment box is a pop up page, but not the blogs the the comment box is under the post. Very strange!! Also I am having issues with my GFC. Very frustrating, indeed. Happy Wednesday! Take care! Andrea

I locked infant Hans in my car three days after we moved to Winston-Salem! I had taken him to this cute little toy store . . . a nice volunteer fireman helped me break into my car. I bet it's a more common occurrence than one would think!

Oh so cute. I am not sure I took pictures of the first travels....I will have to take a walk down memory lane and see.

Cheryl,
They were so incredibly tiny. Amazing.

I'm finally making the leap away from blogger. Been considering it for so long before finally taking the plunge!

Oh, time. What I wouldn't do for more TIME. Look! I've linked up!! I've posted my WBW and my MMM ones without linking up a bunch lately (BAD Nancy!)...know that I read through a reader usually and that's why I'm not commenting much.

SUPER cute picture of your wee little ones!

My worse fear is locking them in the car! I remember how awesome and strong I felt when I could carry both of those baby carriers to at the same time to the car by myself. But it was so nice when they started climbing into carseats on their own.
