Way Back When-esday: The Play's the Thing

Dateline: April 2008
Twins' Age: 6

In Kindergarten, Darren and Sarah were "clouds" in their school's much lauded (and rightly!), annual spring musical. In first grade, Sarah was a "wave," and Darren proudly watched from the audience. In second grade, Darren was an "underworld spirit" while Sarah enjoyed the production with her dad and me. This weekend, they both return to the stage: Sarah as a dancer, Darren as a baker. Quite literally, months of diligent practice will conclude with a two-night stint...and if past years serve as a predictor, once again it will be standing room only.

Sarah's tooth-impaired, irrepressible jubilation with a loved classmate (who will also be a dancer in this year's play) warms my heart this Way Back When-esday.

C'mon....play along with Way Back When-esday!

Dive into your digital photos or scan a scrapbook find...share an image you might not otherwise. Tell the tale and place a post on your blog. Be sure and link back to participate in the web-wide reverie...and please leave a comment when you do!

Last week's "Can you tell the difference between a girl's art and a boy's art?" winner is.....fellow twin mom Amanda of The Lily Pad! (Sarah's piece was on the top; Darren's was on the bottom.) A Starbucks giftcard will be heading her way in the coming days.

Congrats to Amanda, and stay tuned for more giveaways in the coming weeks!
