Ponce de Leon's Pursuit

On a morning ride to school...

He-Twin: "Mom, sometimes I wish you weren't so old."

Mom (heretofore, happily 46): "Does it seem like I am a lot older than your friends' moms?"
He-Twin (earnestly): "Oh no, that's not why! I just don't want you to die so soon."

So very sweet!!! I remember being that age and thinking my parents were so very old. I sometimes worry about being the older parents since I had mine later in life....your son just eased my fears. Now I just have to worry about dying at a very YOUNG age!!! Priceless, love it!! :)

that's cute and poignant. This touched a lot of emotions for me but words escape me.

oh, what a thought. The things I wish kids wouldn't think about! Hailey recently asked me a TON of questions when we drove past a grave yard...I know it is reality and life and all...just wish they didn't think about it so much!
