Multicultural Claus

Overheard during a recent playdate...

She-Twin (ever-curious about the world): "Does Santa come to China?"

Playmate (authoritatively): "He does, but only to families who believe in him."

She-Twin (strategically skirting the real question): "Does he come to your house?"

Playmate (with conviction): "Yes."

She-Twin (happy with the world): "He comes to mine, too."

After this conversation, I was a joyful eavesdropper.
