Way Back When-esday : Poster Children

Twins' Age: 8

When I asked He-Twin if there was a specific age that'd be fun to feature today, he suggested, "Eight."

Looking back at photos from that year, this precious one caught my eye...

They're both smiling. They seem happy to be in each other's presence. They're both carrying totes and wearing outfits I'd forgotten over the past five years.

More standout, the two door-mounted posters in front of which they're standing. Carefully crafted with love to welcome their Daddy home from his November 2009 radical neck dissection (mandated by a recurrence of metastatic malignant melanoma), we left them up for months.

Our twins'---and their Daddy's----strength, resilience and smiles make my mid-week.
