Way Back When-esday - Lagefest Love

Dateline: January 2005
Twins' Age: 3
She-Cousin's Age: 4
He-Cousin's Age: 5

For 20 years now, my amazing in-laws have treated us to an annual "Lagefest" the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. They procure a beautiful property for the week, and we bask in each others company over great meals and fun attractions.

Those first few years, we were simply six--- my mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, Scott and me. Then, in three successive and fertile years, our crew grew by four. Watching these kids grow up together sharing this sacred annual week tradition has been an incredible blessing.

Next year, the eldest cousin will be a senior in high school. Unfathomable.

Looking back on the memories made and the love shared at Lagefests of the past, and with hopes for more in the future, my heart is warm this cold mid-week.

Did you realize Twinfatuation was the originating host of Way Back When-esday?

We've been looking back with love since 2007... so please join in, play along!

Dive into those digital files and share a photo find on your blog and/or on our the new Twinfatuation Facebook Community Page...and encourage fellow moms to do the same!

Wow!! What a great tradition. I think I may have to start that with my kids and their families as they get older. :-)
