By 9am yesterday morning, we were in the semi-socially distanced (some were trying, others, not so much) and fully masked line outside of VCU's Gladding Hall.
Validating wristbands donned (two accompanying family members allowed per incoming student), and keys procured, up to the 10th floor...
Tenth floor makes for an amazing view----including a clear view of Monroe Park Towers, the high-rise apartment building where his great-great grandmother lived in the '70s and early '80s. Now, there's a Jimmy John's on the ground floor. Maybe D will be in that same building's structure in the coming months for lunch. Odd how things come back into our lives....
Before we knew it, our permitted three-hour move-in window was over.
He's ready. We're proud.
Love you, Precious Boy. Show 'em what you've got.
