Denise Richards Has No Idea...

[While having a snack a trois at an elevated Barnes & Noble cafe, overlooking the store... ]

Darren (spying a book by Joyce Meyer on an end cap): "Hey, that's the lady from the TV show Grandma watches."

Mommy: "Wow Darren, you're exactly right. It is."

Sarah: "What's the name of the book?"

Mommy: "100 Ways to Simplify Your Life."

Sarah: "What is it about?"

Mommy: "Well, to simplify something means to make it easier; so I'm guessing if people have complicated lives, they'd like that book."

Sarah: "Oh I could use that book, my life is complicated."

Darren (outraged): "You're life is complicated? MY life is complicated. I've got tae kwon do. I've got school. I've got my dog..."

Mommy (interrupting): "We don't have a dog, Darren..."

Darren: "But when we do, it'll be mostly my responsibility. It's complicated."

Suppose it's a good thing Darren can find such relaxation via what must be "water therapy."

OMG that is so funny...what's hialrious to me is that many children do lead complicated lives these days. He's like an old soul! Loved this and thank goodness for blogs to document this stuff.

This is hysterical. I look that he feels the burden of responsibility for an absent dog. Weight of the world on that one, right? Good thing he's got therapy. I could use some therapy like that...

Darren and I are the same.
I always assume something new is going to be MY responsibility...AND I am very impressed that your little twins were just throwing around the word complicated.

Ahah!! I love that "my life is complicated" lol. What's great is that I remember being that age and thinking the same thing. Little do they know.

HOW CUTE IS HE???

Regarding canines, I have a rule: "Nothing else that poops will be allowed into the house."

My boys want a dog. I tell them "Sure. You can have one ... when you move out."
