Banking in the South

Here in Virginia, we don't make withdrawals. Apparently, in keeping with the charming stereotype, we extract our finances via withdrawls. Wachovia in its pleasant, customer pleasing current incarnation will be missed; but here's hoping Citigroup employs better spellers.

They just spell it like people say it, right? Withdrawl? That totally sounds applicable for my corner of the south!!

LOL! It's embarrassing that the sign actually made it out to the ATM without being corrected. How many employees must have seen it first, and haven't they ever heard of spell-check?

haha, love it! grammatical errors in "official" documents (i say official, because anything blog or post related is understandable :) are pet peeve of mine, it would drive me nuts if i frequented that atm!

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! This kind of just made my afternoon a little bit :)

That should tell you something about my afternoon, I guess.

ROTFLMAO! (and I never use letterspeak!) That is hilarious. Even funnier that it was found in the south as people love to refer to a southern accent as a drawl.

How funny! Although I am guilty of spelling errors here and there, there just are certain things that need a spell check, and even spell check can't catch them all, but this is a major bank, you would think it went by at least an editor before being printed.

My bil (who I just love...rolling my eyes) is running for state rep and his website said "Donations excepted"

OMG....can it get any worse, of course being his favorite sil, I just let it sit there like that for the world to see and realize maybe he doesn't have the qualifications it might take to be a state rep, lol!

Shouldn't your blog title post be:

"Bankin' in the South"

At least that's how it spelled here in North Carolina.

*giggles* I didn't actually notice the error until I read your comment - but then I AM from Texas! I say (and write) y'all and people snicker at me, but that's ok. Thanks for posting that. It's too cute!

I won't forget your birthday now either. :D

hahaha! Grammatical errors like that drive me nuts, too!! I always catch those things. A couple perfect examples:

* A store down the road from us is having an "Octobber sale" on hunting gear

* My parents used to live around the corner from a GM (as in General Motors) Employe Training Center. Hopefully they learned how to spell there!!

PS...I've got my post ready for tomorrow...so be sure to count me in on the Way Back Whensday post!

Do you think they did that on purpose?
