Lit & Laundry has begun a wonderful web-wide show and tell session, wherein we can share our "projects" accomplished this week. Our first foray in is a team effort betwixt boy-twin Darren and me. Fired up for Halloween, he was determined to get our decorations (which are woefully limited) up to snuff. So behold, our new bannister Frankenstein -- who will no doubt surprise (and Darren hopes, scare) any one who enters our home. This is the view from our front door:
Supplies needed:
-An oversized black flannel men's cut shirt of Mom's
-A green cloth napkin
-White paper
-Black and green markers
-Black paper
-Masking tape
The good news is, no household linens/clothing were permanently damaged in the creation of this Mary Shelley monster.
Now go see

The Frankenstein is cute and what a neat idea to put it on your bannister. My house is set up like yours with the stairway right inside the front door. I usually decorate it for Christmas with greenery and lights all the way up and a big red bow. I've never thought of a Halloween decoration there. Cute.

But, I'm also relieved it's not his costume.
So cute, I thought, but how is that poor boy going to be able to see?!
