G.I.R.L. Party: Cast Your Eyes on Our Decor

Via the lovely lady of Lit and Laundry, I've learned of a party that merits crashing...

Marcy at The Glamorous Life Association is hosting her monthly fete wherein attendees may share a snippet of their "real-life" that creatively exhibits their manifest glamour.

Interior designers, eat your hearts out!

Sure, some might pooh-pooh the juxtaposition of silk flowers with living foliage behind -- or perhaps the neon pink of the cast worn by our daughter at age two is too jarring a shade for a dining room. Maybe the irrevocably dirty protective cotton openings are too cloying a combination with the obviously dusty shelf surface upon which it sits. No matter the critique, the bric a brac is uniquely our family...archival if you will. Repurposed. Reminiscent. Real-Life.

Pretty glam, eh?

That is so practical and so fitting! I LOVE it! And I think it's pretty funny, too. I would never have thought of that, but it works!! You've got a one of a kind, totally glamorous, mom kind of vase thingy there!

Oh the glamour! I can hardly stand it. What is next? A leg cast as a floor lamp?

Perfection.

Thanks for crashing. And for bringing more wine. Mr. Linky drank almost everything he brought to the party!!!

HAH! I totally laughed out loud at this.

...as much as I *LOVE* it, I sincerely hope we won't be able to replicate it at our house...
