Both children were huddled over Sarah's desk lamp-lit desk.
Today, I'm thankful...
Darren is such a strong speller, that he knows how to spell "remember," and that rather than withholding, he willingly shares the information with his sister for the paternal project good.
Sarah needs no specific occasion to be thoughtful, and joyfully uses her artistic gifts to cheer and touch others.
that with no offense intended to other fathers, I truly believe Double Daddy is "the best daddy ever."
PS - Conversation when the card was bestowed:
Daddy: "Am I really big and round like that, Sarah?"
Sarah: "It looks good on you."

Could you possibly have raised sweeter, more wonderful children? I think not.
Your kids are awesome. :) It's a testament to the parenting, no doubt.
And I laughed out loud at Sarah's comment hehehe I'll have to remember that line ;)
Wow! I'm impressed with the spelling! I can't wait for mine to spell and do things like that!
What a sweet moment to walk in on this morning!!!! Truly thoughtful kiddos you have there!!
OMG what sweet kids you have. I hope mine grow up to be just like that.
sooo adorable!
I laughed when I read Sarah's response to her dad's question. So sweet. Thanks for sharing.
Well that just brought a tear to my eye -- in a good way! Thanks for the smile :)
How precious! And impressive, too, the mad spelling skillz. :-)
Thanks for visiting - I'm enjoying your blog!
Cheryl,
This is such a sweet post. You must've "hit me" at the right time, because I am sitting here all teary-eyed.
I just LOVE the preciousness of kids and the loving ways they come up with to share it with us.
That is just the sweetest card - bet he cherishes it.
What lovely children you have there.
I like the Sponge Bob pajama pants peaking out from under the table.
They are both so darling, Cheryl. No one could ask for sweeter children. I think I have to add that you're one of the Best Mommy's Ever too!! :) Thanks for sharing such a sweet story. *hug*
So sweet and thoughtful!! What great kiddos (and great daddy for deserving such accolades!)
They are so sweet! Just like their Mom probably.
What a lovely story! I am sure my Ever so charming & delightful would have the same reaction to the "round daddy". Men can be so vain!
There must be a lot of laughter in your home, because your twosome are ALWAYS good for a laugh!
