Makes My Monday: Escape from Rehab

No, not the Dr. Drew Pinsky version (despite my oft proclaimed affinity for the triplet dad's efforts), but our beloved 92-year-old Papa's recent therapy. An in-home fall two days before Christmas broke a few ribs and caused an impressive laceration on the back of his right hand.

After a few days in the hospital and a just shy of three weeks in rehab, he was sprung by his beloved great-grandtwins and their mama just this morning (hence the afternoon edition).

[It may look like Papa is scolding, Darren; he's not. He's giving him his responsibilities -- balloon management -- for the trip home. Sarah was in charge of his stuffed panda.]

Papa's perseverance, determination and rapid healing Make My Monday. So what is making your Monday afternoon? Do tell, and be sure to link back to Twinfatuation to share webwide!

Oh I love Papa's and Grandma's. They are the best. And the kids adore them. It seems like they automaticaly gravitate to them.

I'm glad Papa is ok. I know falling can be hard on elderly folks.

Happy Monday!! :-)

Good deal that he is ok and has been sprung from the hospital!
I am a nurse on an Extended Care unit at a hospital. We are there to rehab people back (among other patients that don't rehab back) and I love having someone that we get them back on their feet and they get to go home!
Your post made my monday as well!
I also did a Makes My Monday post, but wasn't sure if you were participating. I will add the link back to your site now... little late, but it will be there!
