Benadryl Sergeant

That's me. The coughing seems to have gone on for weeks. Waning and waxing. Wet and dry. Head and chest. Brother and sister. Husband and wife.

At least it's not a tummy bug....we dealt with that in December. Seems like everyone has been passing around viruses of innumerable varieties this season.

How's your family faring? Care to share, or are you too spent to vent?

Go ahead. Get it off -- or out of -- your chest.

Thankfully the worst we've had is bad colds - one of which is back to me. I thankfully don't FEEL too bad - but I SOUND awful - hoarse voice, nasty cough, etc. The thing that stinks for me is that I can't take anything (other than motrin) while nursing! ugh! No relief!

PS...hope you feel better SOON!

Oy. Is it spring yet?! Please?!?!

So far (knock on wood, turn around three times and spit) we've managed to avoid the stomach bug. But the hideous colds, croup, and ear infections were quite enough, thank you!

Anyone who reads my blog (by the way, I am renaming Our Sick Story continues) knows we all have been sick! I am SO over being sick. I am also SO over my girls telling me their medicine is gross!

Hope you all get better soon!!! I am ready for warmer weather and well days soon!!!!

I always hate answering this because I constantly feel like I'm jinxing myself.

The kids have been unreasonably healthy- one ear infection each and then had the pukies and poopies for a couple days last April. Nothing a few popsicles couldn't fix :) We haven't been out and about so I will attribute their health to that, though it's doing bad bad things for our mental state. lol

Thanksfully we never (knock on wood) got the stomach bug that went around. I did receive the stuffy nose that has been going on for a few weeks now. Chase and Cody did get a stuffy/runny nose but has now cleared up.

I hope your family feels better soon.

I hope everyone feels better soon! We never got the stomach bug, but I heard it was horrible! We had a 2-week stint where at least someone was sick, and we were all sick for several days. That was the worst! Abby has been sicker in the 6 months she's been in preschool than she was in her ENTIRE LIFE before! Thankfully, the babies have only caught one of her colds.

We had about 3 weeks of coughs and sniffles. My husband, who is from a place where 65 degrees is considered unlivable, believed that my trip to Babies'R'Us with the twins added an extra week to their illness. It was 40 degrees. I walked from the car to the store entrance and back. C'mon man.

Just glad that spring is in sight - no more arguing over the correlation between colds and exposure to the elements.

First - I was your 100th follower! So, send me a gift.
Second, I didn't know I wasn't following you. I live in a world of confusion.
Third - be careful with those coughs. Look what it did to me:)

Oh we are lucky, it is still summer, not that it spared us of croup. Our poor Nanny is the latest victim.

I'm feeling fine but the coughing going on here all week is going to drive me crazy. I jinxed it by saying last week the boys dont need to get flu shots becuase they are so healthy and have avoided every thing going around at preschool.

I hope you all are feeling better soon

We've all been sick since late December. That may sound bad, but is a vast improvement over last year, when we were sick from September to May. lol. The boys just got over ear infections, but now William has another one. Sofia just got an ear infection. I have a sinus infection. I have told all of my non-small-children-friends, "We'll see you in May!"

I'm so sorry you all have been sick...it just makes the winter feel so much longer when your family is continuously sick. Landon was our only sickie this winter, with bronchitis. All the other kids managed to escape narrowly, just suffering very mild colds.

Hope you all feel better soon!

I agree - coughing is bad but not as bad as the throwing up. We had that is December as well and passed it all around and back again. We just started with the noses. Hopefully Spring is right around the corner. Running will only be done outside and not in the nose :-)

we have been incredibly healthy this winter . . . of course, now that I've said that we will probably get hit by some bug of epic proportions.

wishing you good health!

Yikes, we thought we had it under control... until I had the bright idea to go to library story hour with the kids and my parents last Thursday. We've been sick ever since. Damn you story time! Damn you!!!!

I hope everyone is healthy by now! We've had it all this winter... the flu, the ear infections, the congestion, & the strep throat... I sure hope it's over!
