Finished for Friday: Procrastinated Picture-Framing

When the twins were all of 8 months, I sketched the above of Sarah while she slept in her bouncy seat. My intent was to do one of each of the babies; naturally Darren would need to face to the right for pendant hanging balance. Well, it seems time -- almost seven years -- got away from me. Sarah's portrait remained in the spiral drawing pad until very recently, and Darren's portrait? To this day, his remains undone. He and I have chatted quite a bit about how he wants me to draw his image; so by posting this, I hope to shame myself into a near-future "Finished for Friday" with his face front and center (or facing to the right....).

Good luck to you!

It is always hard when you get things done for one twin and not the other !

(I have several things like that laying around! A quilt for instance - oops!)

looks great.

I dont feel quite as bad now that the quilts I started for the boys when I was on bedrest still remain to be put together. I think the squares will be made into a wall hanging for myself now. And maybe a cool bag with the left over ones.

I am SO good at procrastinating and I kick myself daily. Usually it ends up creating more work for me too. Good luck and I would love to see it when it is done.

Lingering to-do aside, I love your sketch! I'm so jealous of people who can draw like that. Me... not so much. Never had the touch.

what a beautiful sketch Cheryl!! You are talented in so many ways!

I should make a pledge to finish a few things around here. I have 2 quilts that the tops are complete but have yet to be quilted and bound...going on...ummm...5 or so years now!! I'd love to actually use one! (one's a wall hanging and one's a lap quilt). Of course, I have no idea how to actually QUILT them - might have to find someone to do that for me.

What a sweet picture! You are so multi-talented. I hope you post more sketches!

Now I really feel guilty. My husband is an artist and we have dozens of finished works lying around that really deserve frames. I can see some Friday Finishes for me coming up!

Thanks for joining in!

Glad I'm not the only one!

I'm nearly finished with Ziva's baby book... haven't even started Anya's.

Maybe by the time they graduate high school? lol
