Thanksgiving Thursday

The lovely Nicole at What a Trip! is hosting a weekly gratitude-fest and this morning has already been so wondrous, I'm in!

This morning, I'm thankful...

1.) that Darren's still coughing, but with less frequency. He's getting better.

2.) for Sarah's Phyllis Diller-esque bedhead. I can't help but smile each time she staggers into our room.

3.) for Scott's snoring. The audible confirmation he is breathing, at rest, and by my side for another day.

4.) for the weight and warmth of thick blankets.

5.) for how it feels to be resting while sandwiched between my dozy children in the morning -- their little warm feet pressed against my calves (Darren) and thighs (Sarah).

6.) for Wal-Mart brand cinnamon toaster waffles.

7.) for a microwave to re-warm my coffee.

8.) for the way the sunlight looks diffused by our beige curtains.

9.) that Sarah's new jeans and Darren's new camoflage pants both fit perfectly and they are wearing them happily today.

10.) that it'd be easy to come up with another 10 reasons to be thankful this morning.

You really are a beautiful person. I wish you lived nearby. I could seriously see us sitting and hashing over a pot of coffee. You and a few others come to mind...how nice--maybe one day.

But, for now, what a blessed look into how you see your normal life. To be thankful for what irritates others (snoring, a coughing child, bed head, cold coffee, etc) just shows how much love you have for your family.

Blessings today...Happy Thanksgiving Thursday!

I am thankful to have been able to share a whole year with your fabulous family! I am thankful for sweet summer days with the Lage's at the pool, for a shared love of language and a mutual love of a certain fair haired first grader! Thanks for being so super rad! -e

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I dont think I have ever been to your blog before, but I love it! Your thankful list was great! I hope you dont mind me following along. Please feel free to follow the Fort as well. Followers become friends I always say, and from the looks of it we have many of the same friends already. Im guessing you found us thru Nicole, but I can see from your blog list that it could have been many others.

Have a great day!

God Bless.

Tim

I love the snuggles in bed, aren't they the best, my 6 year old still likes to snuggle thank goodness, I don't know what I will do when they get past that stage.

And #6...will have to try them!
