Way Back When-esday: Lookin' for Love

Dateline: Valentine's Day, 2003
Twins' Age: 17 months

A sucker for a holiday (just ask Double Daddy), as soon as the kids were old enough to open their own envelopes, we began the collect-the-cards-in-the-paper-sack tradition.

The very same two construction paper heart-adorned bags you see atop the high chair trays are now hanging stocking-style from our mantel...collecting greetings and goodies for Saturday's surprise.

Have a special memory to share? A picture with a story to tell? Now's the time!

Play along with Way Back When-esday, and be sure to include a link to your reverie in the Mr. Linky box below so we can all enjoy the web-wide reminiscing.

What a sweet idea! I was debating on what to do for A&R on Valentine's day. I did get heart shaped molds for suckers so might try that too.

I love their baby faces in those pics :)

What a cute idea - bags to collect. Although Valentine's is not that big over here.

My girls will be 20 months old, and I hadn't even considered doing Valentine's with them this year. But maybe now I will! :)

What cute bags! I was feeling pretty good about making homemade Valentine's tonight, but now I'm going to have to kick it up a notch with paper bags to hold them too!

My post is a birth story/celebration of becoming a mother to a boy, five years ago.
