Mommy: "Darren, you are getting SOOOOO tall! Do you think you will be as tall as Daddy (6'2") when you are grown-up?"
Darren: "Maybe---I might even be as tall as Abraham Lincoln!"
Fine shoes to fill on both counts.
*Three years---and at least as many inches grown---after this picture was taken, Darren STILL declares Chester A. Arthur as his favorite president.

I just asked my kids (of course, after teaching them all about the founding fathers) and they all rattled off...John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Alexander Hamilton....
I so hope my tiny little boys will start to grow taller too.
I know that Darren (one of the smartest kids I know) probably knows this but Abraham is the tallest president to this day (and that is without the hat!)
