More frequently than her brother's efforts, Sarah's artwork has been the fodder for blog posts. Her practiced draughtsmanship and prolific output have often proven irresistable. Today, we're bringing some balance. This poster was extracted with justifiable pride from Darren's backpack the first day of April.
Clearly, filling the spaces completely with color was not his priority, nor was conveying realism. Rather, like most contemporary artists, his composition's success relies on the personal experience the viewer brings to the piece.
Interpret as you will; it's what 21st century artists expect...and relish.

I "heart" the sunglasses on the sun! It made a song pop into my head - "My teacher's (insert Sun here) so bright, I got to wear shades!"
