Our Political Pair, and the Primaries...

Our twins are not identical; neither are their political leanings.

Early on, Darren declared his support of Barack Obama. Sarah made it equally clear she was ardently pro-Hillary. (Should have predicted it when at age 3 1/2 she was looking at her U.S. Presidents placemat intently and asked, "So where are all the lady presidents?")

Once the democratic party winnowed things down to a two-candidate race, our in-house debates intensified similarly.

Why do you like Barack Obama, Darren?
"He uses very good words." (Point well-taken)

Why do you like Hillary Clinton, Sarah?
"I like her ideas on how to make the world a better place." (Not just a knee-jerk gender allegiance.)

So this morning, as we had MSNBC's Morning Joe going in the background during breakfast, the panel's discussion was pregnant with the pending halt of Hillary's candidacy.

Sarah (over her mini-wheats): "I don't want Hillary to drop out."

Mommy (over her coffee) : "You don't?"

Sarah (excusing herself with a flourish from the table): "As a matter of fact, I'm not voting at all if she's not going to run."

Wonder how many other Americans will feel the same...

Above: Sarah's personally selected image of Hillary to accompany her last hurrah homage to Hillary.

Below: Grassroots campaigning.

Haha I bet people will feel that way which is great for the republicans but is so sad for poor democratic part!

LOL! Funny post!
It's also amazing how much kids can really get into politics.
